Sleep in Heavenly Peace (A Partner Song with Silent Night)

This traditional Christmas carol has been arranged as a beautiful partner song by adding 2 new individual melodies which can then be sung in 2-Part harmony with the original song (and in 3-part harmony for choirs ready for a challenge!). Set in an accessible key (Bb3 - Eb5), it is mostly unison singing (an optional divisi in the third section offers echoes and easy harmonies), with the 2-Part partner song to finish. The Alleluia melody can be added as an optional descant in the final verse or played by a C instrument such as flute, oboe, or violin. Perfect for winter, holiday, and Christmas concerts for school or community choirs, it is a great way to introduce harmony to unison choirs! Piano accompaniment is notated; approximate performance time is 2:55.
